How do I find the Calhoun County Public Librarys Online Catalog?
- Open your browser. (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.)
- Go to www.ccpl-fl.net
- Click on the link to the catalog on the left of the page.

What should I do to use the catalog?
- First, log in, at the top right of the screen.
- Enter your library card number with no spaces where it say Library Card #.
- Enter your PIN in the upper right corner where is says PIN. You can get this number
from your Circulation Desk Staff. - Press "Login to My Account".
- Why do I need to log into the Online Catalog?
- The request you place for an itme will default to your library
- You can renew materials you have checked out through "My Account"
- You can see the status of materials you have checked out through "My Account"
- What is my PIN?
- Your PIN is required to access your account through the Online Catalog.
PIN numbers are assigned when you received your library card. When you access your
library account you have the option to change your PIN. Please contact your library
to find out what your PIN is, proof of identification may be required.
- What if my library does not have the item I need?

If you are lookin for an item and can't find it in our libraries we can check for the item
at the other libraries within the Panhandle Public LIbrary System(PPLCS) which includes:
Holmes, Jackson & Washington Counties. If the item is available, it can be sent to any one
of our locations for you to pick up. If none of the libraries has the item, we can request it
from libraries outside PPLCS through our interlibrary loan. Just ask your library staff
and fill out a request form. We will need a current telephone number to contact you when
the item is received.
- How do I place a request?
- Login to your account (this will insure that your local library receives the request).
- Click on My Library Account on the green bar.
- Click on Request.
- Enter the title of the item you are requesting
- Enter the author if applicable
- Enter the current date in the "date" box
- Enter in the Owning Library. The owning library is the actual library which has the book.
- You may enter a note if you need to give us special instructions.
- Enter your name.
- Enter a valid telephone number. This is the number we will call when your item reaches our library.
The number needs to be current. - Enter in your library card number if you know it.
- How do I search for an item?
- If you know the author, choose "Author" from the drop down menu next to the search box. Enter
the author's last name followed by a space and the author's first name. - If you know the title, choose "Title" and enter in the title or a few words from the title.
- If you know some of the title choose "Keywords" and enter in words you know are in the title.
- If you would like to find several items on a particular subject, you can choose "Subject" to get a
list of titles. - If you are interested in a series, you can choose "Series" from the drop down and enter words to
identify the series.
- You may search our catalog in several different choices. The default search library is your
local library. If you want to search a different county or all libraries with the PPLCS choose
the library, county or All from the drop down menu.
After your search is complete, you will receive a list of search results. You may see results for
different formats or editions from the same title, e.g. large print, paperback, DVD, etc. From this
screen you can view details on a title by clicking on the DETAILS button, or add this to your list
( for this session only) by clicking on ADD TO MY LIST button. Under each title, the catalog will
tell you how many copies are available and which library has the item. If you need further
assistance please contact a library staff member. If you are searching from home or another
location please call the library for assistance.
- How do I place a hold?
- You can not place holds on line at this time. Please contact your local library and they will be
able to assist you.
- How do I find only one item type (such as DVD)?
- In the search box, there is a link to "Power Search" at the bottom of the box. Click on this link.
- Enter the correct search term in the appropriate space such as title, author, etc..
- Scroll down until you see "Material Type". Click on the down arrow and select the type such as "DVD", "CD", etc.
- You will either see a list of search results or go directly to the item information.
- When searching for a specific format you will need to do a few more steps.
- How can I get a list of my favorite type of book published recently?
- Login to your account.
- In the search box, there is a link to "Power Search". Click on the link.
- In the space next to subject type in mystery, science fiction, romance, western, etc.
- Scroll down to "publication date".
- Enter in the year you are interested in.
- Click on search.
- You will see a list of your search results.
- You can click on the DETAILS button to see more information about the item.
- Can I save items to a list?
- Login.
- Perform a search.
- When you receive your results, you can click on the button which say " Add to my List".
- When you have added the titles you want to your session list, click in list. This will take you to the List Screen.
- You can remove titles from the list, print the list by clicking the print formatted button or email the
list to yourself by entering your email address in the space provided. - Once you close your browser , you will no loger have access to this particular list.
- You can not save to a list and come back later. You can save a list while you are in your current session.
This list is available as long as your browser is open , and you can email the list or print it.
- How do I view My Account?
- Login
- Click on the link to My Library Account on the green bar
- From this screen you can:

- Login to your account
- Click on the link to My Library Account on the green bar.
- Click on the link to Renew my Material.
- Click next to "Renew Selected Items" or "Renew all items".
- If you only want to renew some of the items, check the box next to the item you want to renew.
- Click on Renew Selectec Items Button.
- You will see a confirmation window which shows the items you renewed
