Calhoun County Public Library is proud to offer FREE Adult Literacy to county-wide patrons.
The Adult Literacy Program assists people sixteen years and older who are not currently enrolled in high school. Students are paired with a literacy volunteer or a staff member. The program offers GED preparation, basic reading, English as a Second Language, computer and workforce skills. Adults are empowered to function at higher levels in their personal lives, the community and the workplace.
The Florida Literacy Coalition and the Calhoun County Public Library's Adult and Family Literacy programs partner to make difference in the lives of Calhoun County Families by helping them develop their reading, writing and English Language skills. AmeriCorps*VISTA members provide valuable support to the library's literacy programs while gaining personal and professional skills.
