The mission of the Calhoun County Public Library is to maintain and improve library services that reflect the informational, educational, cultural and recreational needs of the residents of Calhoun County.

The Calhoun County Public Library is a member of the Panhandle Public Library Cooperative System (PPLCS) and the Panhandle Library Access Network (PLAN) .

The Calhoun County Public Library System is a Department of Calhoun County Government and operates within its structure under the auspices of Calhoun County Board of Commissioners.  The library is charged with making available library services to all residents.
